Overview

Crush Interviews (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a product operated by Centractive LLC, a California limited liability company.

This Privacy Policy explains how Centractive LLC, doing business as Crush Interviews, collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We take your privacy seriously. Your job search data is among the most sensitive information you'll generate in any given year, and we treat it accordingly. Your data is never used to train AI models.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: Name, email address, phone number (optional), profile photo (optional), and password when you create an account.
  • Resume data: Resume files you upload and the parsed text content extracted from them.
  • Interview preparation content: Career stories, Q&A Bank entries, answers to interview questions, Discovery Session transcripts, debrief notes, and thank-you email drafts.
  • Company and interviewer data: Company names, job descriptions, job posting URLs, and interviewer names and titles you provide for research.
  • Payment information: Billing information processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages you send to us through email or in-app feedback.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and actions taken within the platform.
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
  • Log data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies: See our Cookie Policy for details.

Information from third parties

  • Single sign-on (SSO): If you sign in using a supported SSO provider, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider.
  • Payment processor: Subscription status and payment confirmation (not full payment details).

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. Specifically:

  • To deliver the Service: Parsing resumes, generating company research, creating Q&A content, running Discovery Sessions, providing Interview Coach evaluations, and drafting post-interview communications.
  • To process AI features: Your content is sent to our third-party AI provider for processing. This data is processed under that provider's API terms, which prohibit using API inputs and outputs for model training.
  • To process payments: Managing subscriptions and billing through our payment processor.
  • To communicate with you: Sending account-related emails (verification, password reset, billing notifications) and, if you opt in, product updates.
  • To improve the platform: Aggregated, anonymized usage analytics to understand feature adoption and identify issues. Individual user content is never reviewed for this purpose.

How We Do NOT Use Your Information

This section is as important as the one above.

  • We never use your data to train AI models. Your resumes, answers, stories, and interview content are never used as training data for any machine learning model — not ours and not any third party's.
  • We never sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for any purpose.
  • We never expose your activity publicly. No public profiles, no activity feeds, no leaderboards. Your use of Crush Interviews is visible only to you.
  • We never share your data with your current employer. There is no mechanism by which your current employer could learn that you are using our Service.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a limited number of third-party service providers to operate the platform — including providers for AI processing, payment processing, voice infrastructure for Discovery Sessions, web search for company and interviewer research, and optional single sign-on. Each provider receives only the minimum data necessary for its specific function.

These providers process data under their own terms and are not permitted to use it for any purpose other than providing their service to us. We do not sell or trade your personal information to any of them.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Crush Interviews uses industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to personal information is strictly controlled.

While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have concerns about the security of your account, please contact us at security@crushinterviews.com.

Data Retention

Your account data, resumes, Q&A Bank entries, and interview preparation content are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

Discovery Session transcripts, practice attempt history, and debrief notes are retained indefinitely while your account is active to support the platform's compounding preparation model.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Export: Request an export of your data in a portable format.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, reach us via our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Crush Interviews is designed for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
